Agreement brings cutting edge XML publishing technology to Japanese scholarly journals community.
Boston, MA, 16 February 2010 - Atlas and Media Entities today announced a strategic technology partnership where Atlas becomes a full-service reseller of Media Entities industry-leading XML publishing software. The partnership benefits Atlas service, by bringing XML into the publishing process earlier, enabling parallel production flows of scholarly publications, for print, web, and digital editions.
Atlas, based in Tokyo, is the leading Japanese provider of web and print publishing services to scholarly publications. Atlas, a pioneering, reliable and forward-thinking partner, approached Media Entities to add increased value and efficiency to their business solutions. Media Entities, based in Boston, Massachusetts and developers of XML ToolWorks, will provide software and technical integration support to Atlas creating more efficient XML based production processes for Atlas. XML ToolWorks connects XML content to multiple publishing applications, including Adobe InDesign, for automated rapid production of pages of any type from simple to complex. The end result is to reduce content handling effort for digital and print production.
